A little
about me...
For my entire life, I have loved knives for their practical use.
I started making knives because I could not find that perfect production knife.
I have a feel for how a good knife should look, feel, and perform and I try
to put that into every blade. While I'm a part time maker, I am serious about
my craft. I usually make fixed blades and folding knives in certain styles,
as shown by the examples on the website. However, this is not the limit of what
I can do. Custom orders are welcome!
I made my first piece in 1998. Late in 1999, I started forging
blades and producing my own damascus. I belong to the American Bladesmith Society,
an organization
formed by a group of knifemakers that have revived and believe in the "almost"
lost craft of bladesmithing.
There are several levels of membership, including Apprentice,
Journeyman Smith, and Master Smith. I received my Journeyman Smith status in
Atlanta, Georgia at the Blade Show in June of 2002. In 2005, I plan on applying
for Master Smith status. Since 1976, only ~90 makers have recieved this classification.
Every knife has to be absolutely flawless at this level.

I am also a founding member of the Texas Knifemakers and Collectors
Association, whose main purpose is to promote public awareness of the craft
and art of custom knifemaking. They also serve as an excellent resource for
collectors and makers to exchange ideas, thoughts and techniques, helping bladesmiths
become the best they can be.
